| Application |
Used for determining the flash point of fuel oils, lubricating oils, bitumen (other than cutback bitumen), and suspensions of solids in liquids having flash points above 49°C. |
| Construction Features |
- Oil cup made of brass with thermally insulated lifting handle.
- Cup lid fitted with insulated handle and opposite wedge cams for easy locking and removal.
- Shutter opening mechanism designed for smooth operation using spring handle with knurled knob.
- Exposure device (Gas Test Jet Assembly) mounted over the lid.
- Manually operated stirrer fitted with flexible shaft.
- Cup assembly positioned in cast iron air bath with chrome plated brass top.
- Air bath mounted on upright serving as gas manifold.
- Valve controlled supply lines for adjustable pilot and test flames.
- Additional gas supply line with control valve for open flash clip operation as per IS:1448 (P:66), IS:1209 and IP35.
- Ring support provided for holding the lid when not in use.
