Description

Section Description
Loading Unit Automatic Compression Testing Machines are manufactured with a fully welded heavy-duty construction having a strong cross head, rigid base, and solid side plates for maximum stability and durability. The hydraulic jack is securely fixed to the base frame for smooth and reliable operation. The compression platens are hardened, precision ground, and polished to ensure accurate load application and long service life. The upper platen is provided with a self-aligning mechanism to achieve uniform load distribution during testing. Suitable spacers are supplied with the machine to facilitate testing of different specimen sizes conveniently.
Pumping Unit The machine is supplied with an electrically operated hydraulic pumping unit. The applied load is displayed on a highly accurate Digital Indicator calibrated against certified proving rings. The hydraulic power pack is designed with a two-speed pump system which enables rapid platen approach for daylight closure and eliminates the requirement of a lead screw mechanism.

In electrically operated pumping units, the Digital Indicator automatically switches off the motor when the load approaches the maximum machine capacity, preventing overload conditions and ensuring operator safety. Safety relays are incorporated to prevent automatic restarting of the motor after a power failure.

The pumping unit is equipped with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) motor that automatically controls and maintains the desired pace rate during testing operations for highly accurate and consistent test results.
